******************************** UPDATE (posted on October 26) ABOUT REMAINDER OF FALL SEASON:
For the remaining four films this season (November 3 & 17, December 8 & 15), we will be at the Saw Mill Multiplex in Hawthorne.
For directions to the theater 151 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY 10532.you may use this link:
Just enter your address in the A box, and click on "Get Directions."
Of the available options, this was clearly the best alternative, according to the consensus of the group. The only available options were the Cross County in Yonkers, but at a 9 a.m. starting time, and the Loews in Port Chester, which many found to be too far a drive.
The theaters in Hawthorne are good, and the system of starting at the same time and having the speaker in one theater worked well at the last screening. So we will start our screenings at 9:55 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Thanks again to all of you; we've been in three different theaters this season, and you have all been flexible and understanding about our sudden loss of the Central Plaza.
We are now working on our plans for the Winter and Spring seasons; we are hoping to add the option of a different theater.
As always, feel free to leave questions or comments here, or to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 914-312-7360.
Thanks, and see you next Sunday!

FALL 2013 DATES:
SEPTEMBER 22 OCTOBER 6 & 20 NOVEMBER 3 & 17 DECEMBER 8 & 15
The Westchester Cinema Club, the first cinema club in America to screen full-length, first-run films prior to their public release, was founded in 1980 in the Scarsdale Fine Arts Cinema by Beth Kochen and Marilyn Ackerman. Their innovative idea was to bring high quality films to Westchester before their official opening in the USA, so that an audience could see them "before the critics had a chance to make up their minds for them."List of films from previous seasons are shown on the following pages.
During a Series, films are screened on Sunday mornings at 10AM. Due to the sudden closing of the Central Plaza Cinema, we are in the process of finding a new permanent location for the Club. Updates will be posted here. After pastry and coffee between 9 and 10 AM, the film is introduced by our host and moderatorDavid Schwartz. The film is shown and after a short break, is followed by an invited guest speaker and a discussion with the audience. The club members are then invited to evaluate the film on a comment card.
The Westchester Cinema Club has a Facebook page. Join us there!
